My Daughter's miraculous conversion

The story begins with Alison's insistence that I read the unbelievably bad Twilight series. This is about good vampires, and bad vampires, written by a Mormon to whom the stories just "came". At the time, Alison was a "recovering Catholic", who attended a non-denominational "church. So, I offered it up, and read the damn things (a trilogy). In return I sent her the Bill Biersach book, "The Darkness Did Not", about decidedly BAD vampires, vampires that were actually demons.Bill Biersach is a Trad author who has written several "Father Baptist" novels - truly funny, suspenseful, and shot through with Traditional Catholicism. I began to realize what I was dealing with when Alison asked me, "Mom, were the crusades fought against the MOSLEMS?" As she read, she realized how she had been cheated by her (expensive) "Catholic" education. All these riches, she said; a true Catholic Culture, about which she knew nothing. I put her in touch with
Bill, and they began to talk via email. She learned that her "Bible Church" had dumped 11 books of the original Bible - how many distortions were in their bible - she realized that she had been deceived. Bill told her to read his autobiography, in which he chronicled his betrayal by the Conciliar Church, his years of wandering, and his eventual discovery of Tradition. It mirrored Alison's path. Over a month or so, Aliie realized that in the Catholic Church was the Truth - nowhere else could Truth be found. She saw a FSSP priest yesterday - lots of kinks to iron out, for her to receive the Sacraments (Pray for this, please), yet she came away from the encounter more determined than ever. She will go to Confession, for the first time in years today, will attend our Mass on Sunday, and also will be invested in the Scapular. This whole thing has my head spinning. I have witnessed a true miracle (much of this is condensed so as not to bore
you all to tears). Out of my reading of occult books (which I read so I could gently point out their errors), came a miracle of conversion. She is happier than I have ever known her to be.I ask your prayers for her, and for me, and for my dear friend Bill Biersach, that what God has begun in Alison will bear much fruit. She is quite a target now for you-know-who.May His Majesty be praised forever.Helen

Howard Weathington Getting open discussion seems to be the start of a positive move in the "right" direction, besides praying a rosary or a Mass a day.
